Stand Up Ohio, in the coming months, is putting forth an effort to collect more than 300,000 signatures to place this proposed amendment on the November 2016 ballot. Click here to read the language submitted to the AG’s office.
The Ohio Restaurant Association (ORA) opposes any constitutional amendment to further change the minimum wage.
“Ohio voters have already approved a minimum wage, making Ohio one of the few states where the minimum wage is embedded in our constitution,” said ORA Director of Communications Natalie Walston. “And Ohio’s minimum wage is already adjusted annually for inflation. We don’t need to change our constitution again.”
As this process unfolds, we will certainly be updating you. If you have any questions or would like to become more involved, please contact ORA Director of Government Affairs Joe Rosato at firstname.lastname@example.org or 614-246-0130.
