Businesses must comply with the new overtime rule by Dec. 1, 2016. The changes will require employers to pay overtime to workers making $47,476 per year.
"The new regulations can be confusing for all business owners, particularly restaurant owners that provide flexible hours for staff," said ORA CEO & President John Barker. "Our Town Hall will provide more in-depth information from a law firm and other national experts into how to make these changes."
Labor Attorney Sara H. Jodka (click for her bio) from Dickinson Wright will lead the Town Hall with a presentation explaining the overtime rule changes, what businesses need to do to comply by the deadline, and will answer attendees' questions during a Q&A.
Other speakers at the Town Hall include ORA Director of Government Affairs Joe Rosato, and ORA CEO & President John Barker.
