The ORA welcomes Rachel Airhart of Brandywine Country Club in Maumee, Michael LaMarca of the Master Pizza Franchise Group, LLC near Cleveland, and Jonathan Lanni of the Thunderdome Restaurant Group in Cincinnati.
"It's important that our Board of Directors bring expertise from all parts of the state," said ORA President & CEO John Barker. "Rachel represents Northwest Ohio, Michael is a presence in Northeast Ohio and John is building from a strong base in Cincinnati. This is especially important as the ORA evolves with our brand transformation to meet the needs of our members."
Airhart is general manager and senior advisor of the Brandywine Country Club in Maumee. She has more than 35 years in the restaurant industry. She is an inspirational leader who inspires others by action while staying grounded in the financial aspects to operate a profitable business.Recently, as Proprietor for 11 years at Carrabbas Italian Grill, Rachel led her restaurant and team to numerous awards and continuous sales growth of more than $3.5 million per year at the Maumee, Ohio location.
La Marca is owner and CEO of the Master Pizza Franchise Group, LLC. He attended Cleveland State University. Master Pizza captured the award as one of the best “Top 5 Pizzerias in the World” at the International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas in March 2013. Master Pizza continues to build on its award-winning tradition. Master Pizza received a "Top 10 Pizzeria" in the World award in 2012 at the same competition in the Traditional Category.
Lanni is co-founder and owner of Krueger's Tavern; The Eagle, Food and Beer Hall ; Bakersfield and SoHi Grilled Sandwiches. He is also co-founder of Currito Cantina. He grew up in Hamilton, OH just outside of Cincinnati. John had his sights set on the restaurant industry, working in his father’s restaurants from an early age.He studied at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. Upon graduating in 2003, he worked for Lettuce Entertain You in Chicago. In 2005 he and his brother Joe decided to start their own restaurant business. After creating Currito in 2005 and SoHi Grilled Sandwiches in 2010, Thunderdome Restaurant Group was officially formed in 2012 with the addition of the Bakersfield.
In other board news, Bob Abbruzzi of Bob Abruzzi Consulting and Brody Danner of Submarine House also took the oath for another three-year term.
