Richardson will serve in his role as Chairman through June of 2018. Jamie is an "Ultimate Craver" who took his love of White Castle hamburgers to its logical extreme, joining the White Castle home office team in 1998. He serves as Vice President, Government and Shareholder Relations. Prior to this role, Jamie served as Director of Marketing.
Jamie's craving for White Castle was nurtured during time he spent working on the business as part of the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency team, where he also had assignments on a range of accounts such as Domino's Pizza.
In his current duties, Jamie is responsible for government affairs, shareholder relations, community relations and public relations. In this role he has participated in dozens of television interviews for CNBC, Fox Business News and Fox News and has testified before Congress on behalf of the foodservice industry three times since 2013.
Richardson was named 2014 "Restaurant Advocate of the Year" by the National Restaurant Association.
"I am excited about the opportunities that lie before us," Richardson said. "We are an industry that is all about people - both our guests and our employees. I hope to draw greater attention to the paths to success the industry provides, and I hope invite more restaurant operators to join us in strengthening the voice of the industry."
"Jamie's involvement in advocacy speaks to the association's commitment to protecting and promoting Ohio's foodservice operators," said John Barker, President & CEO of the Ohio Restaurant Association. "The industry, our association and its members will all benefit from having someone of Richardson's caliber serving as Chairman."
In addition to Richardson's installation, Sam Lindsley, of Michael Symon Restaurants, assumed the role of Vice Chairman while 2014-2016 Chairman Roy Getz, of Bob Evans Farms, Inc., now serves as the association's Immediate Past Chairman. Mike Haunert of Sysco Cincinnati remains Treasurer while Sheila Trautner of Taste Hospitality Group moves into the leadership role of Secretary.
Following Richardson's installation, the ORA recognized several of the state's leading restaurateurs for their commitment to the industry:

- Jeff Ruby, Jeff Ruby Restaurants, Cincinnati
