ORA and Members Head to Washington, D.C.

On April 17-18, the ORA and a group of our members traveled to Washington D.C.to collaborate with the National Restaurant Association, restaurant and foodservice industry professionals from across the U.S. and lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

Representing the state of Ohio, ORA members on our trip included leaders from Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Dunkin' Donuts, Firehouse Subs, Michael D. Symon Restaurants, White Castle and Sysco Corporation.

The members of Congress that we met with included Rep. Joyce Beatty, Congressman Warren Davidson, Rep. Steve Stivers, Rep. David Joyce, Rep. Steve Chabot, Rep. Bill Johnson, Rep. Bob Gibbs, Rep. Mike Turner, Rep. Jim Jordan and Rep. Jim Renacci.

Our mission was to share why the restaurant and foodservice industry is not just about success in business, but hospitality, customer service, being good employers, and how politics impact people. We’re dedicated to raising the voices of the third-largest employer in Ohio with 575,000 employees, and share our stories with leaders in Washington to make a difference. 🍴✨
