ORA Endorses Troy Balderson

COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 24, 2018) -- The Ohio Restaurant Association (ORA) Board of Directors today enthusiastically announced its endorsement of State Senator Troy Balderson in Ohio's 12th congressional district..

“Endorsing Troy Balderson sends a strong message on behalf of our restaurant and foodservice industry members to the voting public that we need a strong voice in this important district that understands and supports business issues," said ORA Director of Government Affairs Joe Rosato.

Prior to his time in politics, Balderson operated his family farm and also worked at an automotive dealership, which had been in his family for three generations. He is the kind of legislator who understands what it takes to operate a business and get things done. He is also endorsed by former Congressman Pat Tiberi of the same district.

“Ohio’s restaurant industry is the state’s third-largest private sector employer, with $20.9 billion in sales and nearly 575,000 employees,” said ORA President & CEO John Barker. “With the election just a couple of weeks away, we've decided to make a thoughtful decision and take the necessary actions for the endorsement, as it’s critical that our legislators have an in-depth understanding of the impact our industry has on Ohio’s economy."
